Learn from the best. Dodson & Associates, Inc., has been providing training for HEC hydrology and hydraulics software since 1986. These programs are used on a daily basis by Dodson’s staff of experienced engineers, hydrologists and GIS technicians.

The main goal of this course is to help attendees understand the basic functions of the programs and how to use them efficiently.  This will be accomplished through a combination of lectures, discussions, and workshops. Lectures will cover the basic concepts, program options, user interface, data requirements, output review, and case studies. Instructor-led group workshops will provide a hands-on experience for attendees (days 1 and 2 only).

Important: This course has not been pre-approved by any State. It is the engineer's responsibility to determine whether this course meets the guidelines set forth by their state board. Instructors will provide a signed certificate of course completion; stating the course title and number of class hours attended (7 hours per day).

We offer our seminars only at our office in Houston. Doing so enables us to keep the cost of our courses reasonably low. Our three-day seminar series employs a different instructor for each day. Each instructor is an expert in the topic he is instructing. While at our office, you can talk with members of our engineering staff or GIS personnel about a specific project or modeling problem you may have.
