GIS for Engineers

Chris Johnson, P.E., CFM

Mr. Johnson has over 20 years of experience with a wide variety of water resources engineering projects. His experience covers virtually all phases of the design process, including feasibility studies, planning studies, preliminary design, preparation of bidding documents, and forensic analysis. He has provided hydrologic and hydraulic engineering services for reservoirs, water supply systems, drainage and flood control facilities, wastewater systems, and pump stations.

Mr. Johnson is an ASCE seminar instructor for FEMA National Flood Insurance Program and Dam Safety and Rehabilitation continuing education courses. He has also instructed numerous HEC-RAS and HEC-HMS courses offered by both the ASCE and Dodson.

Hydrology IV - Impact Analysis

Duane Barrett, P.E.

Mr. Barrett, a staff member of Dodson & Associates, Inc. from 1983 to 2003, managed a wide range of engineering projects involving the fields of hydrology and hydraulics, including flood insurance studies and restudies, master drainage studies, channel improvement and hydraulic structure designs, watershed impact analyses, detention facility designs.

Mr. Barrett has lectured on the use of the HEC-1 and HEC-2 computer programs at numerous seminars. He has also prepared professional papers on regional detention design and HEC-2 bridge modeling techniques.

NPDES Storm Water Quality

Craig  Maske, P.E.

Mr. Maske joined Dodson & Associates, Inc. in 1999. He has fourteen years of experience with projects in both the public and private sector. Mr. Maske has worked with consulting and design firms as well as spending a tour of duty as a US Army Engineer Officer.

Mr. Maske serves as the primary instructor for nationwide NPDES seminars.  These two-day courses are sponsored by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and detail the US Environmental Protection Agency’s program for elimination of storm water pollution in municipal, industrial, and construction site runoff.
