Code of Ethics

Dodson & Associates, Inc. management and employees follow a deceptively simple but demanding code of ethics:

  • Public Safety: We will not participate in projects which perceptibly damage the health, safety, or welfare of the general public, even if the damage is relatively short-term.
  • Competency: We will not misrepresent our own qualifications or experience, or assume project responsibilities for which we are not qualified.
  • Honesty: We will not misrepresent the charges accumulated to a project or the effort required to perform a certain activity.
  • Communication: We will attempt to fully inform the client of project status and all conditions affecting the project. We will not avoid or delay communication because the project experiences problems.
  • Professionalism: We will not bestow personal favors, including political contributions, in the hope of receiving project work or other benefits, or as a payment for benefits already received. The only incentive we offer in return for receiving project work is the quality, timeliness, responsiveness, and cost-effectiveness of our work.

There are always questions in how any code of ethics should be applied to specific situations. Employees and clients of Dodson & Associates, Inc. are encouraged to contact our President, Christopher A. "Chris" Johnson, P.E., CFM  with questions or comments concerning this code of ethics or its interpretation.
